2019-2021 KDC Finalist
The inspiration for this porch was to create a fresh, new space in the home that could serve multiple purposes throughout the day, season, and for years to come. The biggest challenge was incorporating the function of the pop-up window. When open, it allowed integration of the barbecue area and connection to the juice bar.
The juice bar was designed around the style and function of the Sub-Zero refrigerator with glass door. Frozen items were close at hand for a smoothie or cocktail, while the glowing glass door showcased fresh fruits and veggies grown in the garden. Outside the pop-up window sits the Wolf outdoor gas grill, surrounded by black brick. The resulting design allows the homeowner the ultimate luxury of a proper layout and ease of function, whether juicing or entertaining.
